Abstract:

Participants from all aspects of academics (higher education as well as K-12) interested in talking and learning about issues related to plagiarism, cheating, and strategies to effectively combat such problems would enjoy this session. Using OneNote complemented by the Tablet PC, faculty can guide students in appropriately documenting academic research and paper sources both in the classroom and online. OneNote is a collaborative, note-taking management tool that allows you to capture, organize, and reuse notes and is enhanced when used in sync with the Tablet PC. OneNote captures information in multiple ways and provides features allowing you to organize and use notes according to your needs. OneNote can assist in teaching a course that focuses upon research, writing, information and/or data management; making these processes much easier. Participants will be presented with examples of OneNote features along with teaching and learning ideas related to strategies for use in research-oriented courses.
